What is the Garage door spring ?

Garage door springs are metal coils that are either tightly wound or extended to counteract the weight of the garage door, allowing the door to be opened and closed. The garage door spring taking care of the weight so the door will be light. There are 3 different main spring system

Torsion springs

can be found above the top section of the door

Extension Spring

Located parallel to the horizontal tracks

Tourqmaster

same as the torsion spring tourqmaster will be located above the door. Tourqmaster is rarely in use and normally installed on a Wayne Dalton Doors. The tourqmaster springs are not visible and are being hidden inside a tube
